BEHIND GARBAGE'S MUSIC

The US channel VH-1 will premiere on Sunday, March 31st (20h00), the TV special "Behind the Music" about Garbage. This is their first VH-1 program, and will be focused on the personal aspects of the band members, and not only on their music.

GARBAGE WITHOUT STEVE?
March 29th

Garbage performed "Breaking Up The Girl" on the UK TV Show CD:UK. This is the beggining of the TV promotion on this single in Europe. Duke (pic) has appeared with a beard, and Steve didn't perform on the event. No official explanation has been given.

SECRET GLASGOW GIG, APRIL 4TH
March 25th

According to the site beautifulgarbage, there will be a secret Garbage gig taking place in Glasgow on the 4th April. This gig is being sponsored by the Bank of Scotland and 
serveral local radio stations. The gig will be for 250 guests only, and there will be chance for people to ask the band questions. 
There are unlikely to be tickets for this gig - it’ll be invite only, or you can get entry through various competitions that local radio stations will be running.

CONFIRMED MORE DATES IN SPAIN!
March 23rd

Garbage will be back in Spain after 3 years. There are 4 confirmed dates, in Salamanca, Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona, between June 11th and 14th.
Garbage will be with other bands in a tour call "Movistar Activa".

GARBAGE IN SPAIN!
March 19th

The site Eladelanto has just confirmed a new Garbage tour date. Spain, on June 11th. The chosen city is Salamanca (Between Madrid and the north of Portugal) and the tickets will be on sale for €20. This gig hasn't been corfirmed officially on garbage.com but it has on Spanish press. It's part of the Salamanca 2002's acts

BREAKING UP THE GIRL DETAILS
March 12th

April 8th will make the commercial release in the UK for Breaking Up The Girl, the 3rd single from Beautifulgarbage. 3 CD's will be released which will include new songs Happiness and Confidence as well remixes by Brothers in Rhythm and Timo Mass. In addition, an acoustic version of Breaking Up The Girl, the video of Breaking Up The Girl and a cover of the Velvet Underground song Candy Says and a remix of Cherry Lips by Eli Janney will also be available.

45 LIVE SHOWS CONFIRMED!
March 7th

Garbage have confirmed 45 live dates on April, May and June! 16 more dates have been revealed this week.
The band will be back in the road on April 1st, in the UK, and will give 28 shows in America, returning to Europe. 

GARBAGE ON MTV'S 5 NIGHT STAND
March 4th

Garbage, Super Furry Animals, Oxide & Neutrino, Lo-Fidelity Allstars and Blue are confirmed for MTV's annual FIVE NIGHT STAND.
This year's gigs, the popular music channel's fifth in a series, will take place between April 8-13 at the London Hackney Ocean. A full supporting bill is set to be confirmed in the coming weeks. However, the shows are confirmed so far are:
Garbage (April 8) 
Oxide & Neutrino (10) 
Super Furry Animals, The Cooper Temple Clause, Vex Red (11) 
Lo-Fidelity Allstars, Supermen Lovers, Telepopmusik (12) 
Blue, 3SL, Warren Stacey, Dane Bowers (DJ set) (13)
Tickets for the shows are priced £16.50, and the headline acts will be broadcast on MTV at a later date. 

AUSTRALIAN TOUR PAYED OFF

Garbage are taking over the australian charts. It seems that the australian Day Out tour convinced lots of people to buy Garbage's records.
beautifulgarbage is the #8 album, and Cherry Lips the #10 single!

SHIRLEY 5TH BABE OF THE YEAR
March 1st

Shirley has been voted #5 Babe of the Year in the latest Rocksound magazines's Readers Poll, from the year 2001. #1 was Snake River Conspiracy's Toby Torres. Amongst the other "babes" were Gwen Stefani (#4) and Britney Spears (#7).
