February 20th

Cherry Lips has help on to the Official UK Top 40 this week. It has debuted at 22, falling to 30, and is now at 40, mainly due to the high publicity and TV promotion. According to subhuman.net, "the single also re-entered the Student Chart at number 9 this week, after an abscence since January. It also was, according to MusicWeek, the UK's second highest new entry on the Australian singles chart, being beaten just by Robbie Williams."

February 3rd

"Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!)" is still on the UK Top 30 on it's second week of sales. One week after being released and entering to the #22 spot, "Cherry Lips" only dropped 8 places, which isn't bad at all, considering the number of singles released.

SHIRLEY THANKS FANS FOR #22
February 2nd

Shirley wants to thank UK fans for buying Cherry Lips: "Well despite the fact that we didn't exactly get hammered on the radio in the UK....Cherry Lips entered the Top 40 at # 22 so a big thankyou to all our fans in the UK who supported us once again and proved the naysayers wrong!!!"

LIAM HOWLETT'S (PRODIGY) TAKE ON CHERRY LIPS
February 2nd

Shirley met Prodigy's Liam Howlett, who told her he liked Cherry Lips. Here's what Shirley had to say: "Bumped into Liam from The Prodigy at the airport this morning (Oh I can't WAIT for their new record.I just can't WAIT) and was utterly made up when he said that he dug Cherry Lips.I just love the fact that he gets it.So many people have just heard the pop aspect of that song and not the weird, subversive side of it.They simply take it at face value and look no further.
It's weird.....I'm slowly beginning to realize that the majority of people really do take things at face value.I can hardly believe it but there you have it..........just yet another truly depressing condition of the human species."
