BEAUTIFULGARBAGE 6TH BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR TO ROLLING STONE "Rolling Stone" magazine named beautifulgarbage the 6th best album of this year. Pretty good considering the lukewarm review they gave it when the album came out, last October. |

LARRY MULLEN WITH GARBAGE Garbage are still playing with Matt Chamberlain on drums. On December 2nd, Garbage gave the last concert as an opening act for U2. U2's drummer, Larry Mullen showed the band's apretiation by joining Garbage on "Only Happy When It Rains". According to Shirley, "When Larry Mullen Jnr. joined us on stage and played the closing song of our set with us which happened to be "Only Happy When it Rains", the crowd went OFF and just about lifted the roof right up from the stadium. How can I possibly describe what a thrill it was for us to play with him? We were all grinning like village idiots." Butch Vig, on the other hand, already participated on U2's music in the past, like on the production of the "Lab Rat" remix for the great "Staring At The Sun" track. |

"CHERRY LIPS" VIDEO CENSORED MTV Europe felt the stamping on the light bulb may encourage dangerous behaviour so they will not play it during certain times of the day; in order to accomodate day-time play they'll have a re-edited version of the video omitting the "light bulb scenes". On the flip-side the UK record company is also trying to get a completely un-edited version which will include the "shit" lyric (as well as stamping on the light bulbs!). Because of this, UK had decided to move the release date of Cherry Lips to January 21st. (Thanks to Dukester2 for the scan!) |

LIMP BIZKIT REMIX VIDEO You can check out the video on the remix Butch Vig did for Limp Bizkit's "Nookie", on the Ultimate Band List site. This will be one of the videos promoted by their record company, and it's a great track (like a duet between the "Androids" and "Las Putas"). |

BUTCH STILL NOT WITH GARBAGE The latest leg of the american tour hasn't seen Butch Vig yet. Garbage kept playing with Matt Chamberlain in drums, who is doing a great jog too. Matt is very well know in the music industry for the wonderful work he has done with people like Tori Amos, Fiona Apple and The Smashing Pumpkins. You might wanna visit the only website I found about him, with very nice info actually. Click here to do so. The next gig Garbage have is a guest appearence in Tonight Show with Jay Leno. |
